The Quiet Hearth Ministries

Tending the home. Training the heart.

“Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live…
then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children.”
Titus 2:3–4

Welcome, friend.
Come in. Pull up a chair. There is something warm on the stove and a little quiet in here.

This is a space for women who love their homes. Women who love their husbands. Women
who have given their years to the beautiful, often unseen work of keeping a family and a
household, and who are now asking, in a quieter season, what faithfulness looks like
now.

You are not finished. You are not invisible. And the home you tend still matters deeply to
God.

A little about me

I am a woman of faith, a wife, a mother, and a homemaker, and I have been all four for a long time
now. I know what it is to pour yourself into a full and noisy house, to build rhythms and
routines and recipes around the people you love most. And I know what it is when those
people grow up, spread their wings, and leave you standing in a quieter kitchen than you
ever expected.

The empty nest brought with it a grief I wasn’t prepared for, and a grace I didn’t expect.
It asked me to reckon with who I was outside of motherhood, and to let God answer that
question more completely than I ever had before. What He showed me is that the calling to
tend a home, to love a husband well, and to pour wisdom into younger women, that
calling doesn’t retire.

The Quiet Hearth Ministries was born out of that season. It is my offering, the things I
have learned, the scriptures that have held me, the homemaking wisdom I wish someone
had sat down and passed along, given freely to you.

What you will find here

This space is built on Titus 2, that beautiful, practical charge for older women to teach
and encourage younger women in the ways of home and faith. Everything here flows from
that passage.

Reflections on loving your husband well in every season of marriage

The theology and practice of homemaking as a sacred calling.

Letters and wisdom for younger women walking the road ahead of them.

Honest encouragement for the empty nest season; its grief, its beauty, and its
purpose.

Practical homemaking rooted in scripture, not just style.

You are welcome here

Whether you are a young woman just starting out and looking for a steadier hand to hold;
or a woman in the midst of the empty nest wondering what God has for you now; or
simply someone who believes, as I do, that the home is one of the most important places on
earth, you belong here.

Stay as long as you like. Come back often.

And if something you read here lights a small fire of courage or comfort in your chest, pass it along to another woman who needs it.

That is the Titus 2 way, and it is what we are here to do.

With warmth and welcome,
Selah Grace
